Lost or forgotten something on our boats, trams or buses? 

If you have lost or forgotten something on any of the city’s vehicles, it is important that you register your lost item. Once you’ve registered your item you are welcome to visit our lost and found department or contact us by telephone.

All objects found on boats, trams or buses in Gothenburg are handed over to the lost and found department and can be collected at Hotellplatsen 4. 

Register your lost items here. To be certain that the item is yours, we need a detailed description. 

For mobile phones, we ask: 

  • Brand, model and color
  • Serial number or IMEI number
  • Receipt

For other capital goods, such as MP3 players, we ask for: 

  • Brand, model and color
  • Serial number
  • Receipt

If you can’t describe your lost item or show proof of ownership we are not able to release the object. Items such as gloves, hats, scarves and umbrellas are being stored for ten days, other items are kept for 90 days. Lost items that have not been collected are donated to charity. 

Collect your item

Lost items can at the earliest be returned the following day, after 10:00. If you lost an item during the weekend, the item can be returned the following workday, from 13:00. Bear in mind, it may take up to a week before we received the item you lost. 

We charge a fee of 20 SEK for the disclosure of mittens, hats, scarves and umbrellas. For other goods, we charge a fee of SEK 50.
